Shelly "Leadfoot" Marie Martin, age 53, of Manitowoc, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017. Born on September 20, 1964 in Manitowoc, she is the daughter of the late Marie C. Blashka and Dallas Kelp. She was united in marriage to Mike "Rainman" Warren Martin on August 8, 1992. The couple welcomed their "miracle baby", Mikayla Marie, on November 16, 1998.

Shelly was an avid Harley rider and lady patch-holder with the WindJammers MC for 26+ years. For ten years, Shelly coordinated the POW-MIA Remembrance Ride and Ceremony for Ex-POW's, Veterans and Gold Star Mothers. For a number of years, Shelly was involved with the group ABATE of Wisconsin, Region 2D. ABATE is "A Brotherhood Against Totalitarianism Enactments". She fought for the rights of motorcyclists and gave them all a voice.  Shelly enjoyed serving as a Girl Scout Troop Leader for nine years, allowing her to spend extra time with her precious daughter. She accomplished her dream of owning and operating her own business: "Your LifeCare Services, LLC" for five years.

Shelly's interests included sitting in the backyard and watching birds, making her garden look beautiful, hosting the biggest Packer parties, watching the Manitowoc Varsity Volleyball Team, decorating above and beyond for Halloween which she loved, joining Mike on car rides to scope out the local wildlife, as well as joining him on his motorcycle and traveling across the United States.

Shelly is survived by: her husband, Mike "Rainman"; her daughter, Mikayla Marie Martin; and beloved dog, Zeus "The Moose" Martin. She is also survived by: her two brothers, Richard (Mary) Blashka and Daniel (Connie) Blashka; two sisters, Carol Blashka and Dorothy (Ed) Rometti; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Karen Martin Jr.; brother-in-law, Dean (Melissa) Martin; and two sisters-in-law, Jean "Rogie" (Charlie) Martin and Laura Lee "Butchie" Martin. Many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends also survive her.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Marie and Dallas; her grandparents, William and Mabel (Brown) Reno and Carl and Annabelle Kamm; as well as several loved canine companions, Gypsy, Rocki, Bruno and Coco.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena.   Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Keshena.  Visitation will be held at the Larry and Karen Martin residence located at W2525 Keshena Lake Rd, Keshena, Wisconsin from 4:00 pm on Monday, October 30, 2017 until the procession leaves for the church on Wednesday morning.

A gathering of family and friends for Shelly "LeadFoot" Martin, will be held at the Salvation Army, 411 N. 6th Street in Manitowoc on Friday, November 10, beginning at 3:30 pm until the memorial service at 5:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with funeral expenses.
