Zimdars
May 18, 1970 – September 20, 2020
Shelly Jean Zimdars, age 50 of Leopolis, passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Shelly was born on May 18, 1970 to Sylvia (Spiegel) Zimdars and the late William Zimdars. She graduated in 1990 from Marion High School where she helped in the school kitchen and office. Shelly was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Tilleda where she was an acolyte for over 30 years and only missed church for Hodag Festival. Shelly worked at Lakeland Industries for many years. She was a member of the Red River Riders. For several years Shelly participated in standing long-jump and the hundred-yard dash in the Special Olympics. She loved to color, attend the annual Hodag Festival, listen to country music, dance, spend time with her "puppies" CC and BJ, and her cat, Cuddles. Shelly was a HUGE fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Leopolis Bulldogs. She loved to have company over. Shelly will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shelly is survived by her mother, Sylvia; her sister, Jamie (Aaron) Pingel; nephews and niece, Tayten, Joryn, and Meylor; paternal aunt, Pastor Lois Graper (George); cousins, Dr. Angela (Dr. Brooks) Graper-Laber and their children Logan, Ethan, and Camry, and Cindy Graper; as well as other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, father and brother, William "Billy" Wayne Zimdars.
A funeral service will be held for Shelly at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Peace Lutheran Church in Tilleda under the tent with Rev. Lois Graper and Hospice Chaplain Jim Hartlaben. Burial will be in Seneca Immanuel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service.
To honor Shelly, you are encouraged to wear pink – Shelly's favorite color.
