Obituary

Shirley Ellen Teller, age 91, of Neopit, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at her home. Shirley was born on April 6, 1935, in Keshena to the late David and Alice (Mahkimetas) Crow. On January 10, 1968, she was united in marriage to Raymond “Steve” Teller in Michigan. The couple spent a wonderful 45 years together making memories before Raymond’s passing in 2013. Shirley worked for the Menominee Police Department as dispatch for many years before retirement and enjoyed her job very much. Her door was always open to anyone who may need it. Shirley was a spunky woman who loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, going to see bands and sitting in the peacefulness of nature. Shirley has a big close family, and they always gathered at her home to spend time together.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Jose) Arlequin; children she raised, Shirley (Jake) Caldwell, Gerald Teller, Jerome (Penny) Teller, Janice (Duane) Teller, Russell (Brian) Starr, Roarah (Buzz Peters) Teller, and Duane Teller; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; children, Clarabelle Teller, Debra Teller, David Teller, Randy Redcloud, Marlin Redcloud, Anthony “Tony” Teller and Renee Teller; siblings, Edison “Buddy”, Everett, Curtis, Tom, Carol and Opal; and parents, David and Alice Crow.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 22, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Fr. Hanz Chrisitan officiating. Visitation will be held at the Teller residence, N1907 Midway Road Neopit, WI 54107, starting on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4:00 pm until the time of procession to the church on Friday. Burial will be held at the Teller Cemetery.
