Shirley Villarreal, age 76 of Des Plaines, Illinois, formerly of Keshena, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Shirley was born on August 25, 1944 in Keshena to the late Joseph and Susan (Dodge) Summers. In May of 1991, Shirley was united in marriage to Rufugio "Jose" Villarreal in Keshena. She was a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan. Shirley loved to travel and take trips to the casino, and also loved her "scratchies". She loved eating her favorite pizza Gigio's. Most of all Shirley loved her family dearly, she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Jose Villarreal; siblings, Rose Cantrell, Josephine (John, Sr.) Gladue, Louetta Fowler, Lorraine Barnes, Richard (Jerri) Summers, Steve Summers and Roland Summers; mother-in-law, Tersa Gonzales; sister-in-law, Suzette Summers; brothers-in-law, Thomas Nacotee, Bruce Brown, Arturo Villarreal and Erudito Villarreal; and Godchildren, Paula Tucker, Roberta Wescott, Loomis Fontenelle, Jolene House, Shirley LaTender, Shalynn Webster, Michael Cantrell, Sr., and Vance Corn. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Susan Summers; sisters, Sharon Summers, Gloria Nacotee, and Harriet Villanueva; and brothers, Roger Summers and Robert "Butch" Summers.
Private family services will be held.
