Shirley Mae Buckley Villeneuve, 81, former resident of Devon Ct., widow of Romeald Charles "Bud" Villeneuve, died Friday, June 20, 2014 at Emeritus at Hawthorne Inn in Greenville. Born in Chicago, IL, December 23, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Chester W. and Stella Sims Buckley. Mrs. Villeneuve was a homemaker who loved her family and will be remembered as a gifted seamstress that would often make clothes for her family. She will also be remembered for baking homemade cookies for family and friends. A native of Chicago, Mrs. Villeneuve also resided in Lansing, IL, Shawano, WI, Newport Richey, FL, Greenwood, SC and Greenville, SC. She attended North Side Baptist Church in Greenwood. Surviving are: a daughter, Gail Behrendt and husband Wayne of Greenwood; a son, Mark Villeneuve and wife Becky of Park Ridge, IL; two grandsons, Kyle Behrendt and wife Lauren of Greenville and Davis Behrendt of Charleston; one granddaughter, Rachel Villeneuve of Park Ridge, IL; two brothers, Dr. Chet Buckley and wife Joyce of St. Cloud, MN and Jim Buckley and wife Carole of Moreno Valley, CA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and Tony Caputo of West Chicago, IL; and a cousin whom was raised as a sister to Bud Villeneuve, Linda Zack of Arlington Heights, IL. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Burial will be in the Lake Drive Cemetery in the Town of Wescott. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Shawano on Saturday from 1:00pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Side Baptist Church, 409 W.
