Sophie (Boyd) Gonzales, age 98, of Floresville, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Regency Manor Health Care Center in Texas. Sophie was born on December 11, 1921, on the Menominee Indian Reservation as the daughter of the late George and Rose (Green) Boyd. Sophie lived a long and happy life. She was a homemaker and took loving care of her mother Rose until she passed. She moved to Wausau where she met and married her soul mate Theodore "Lolo" Gonzales. Upon her husband's retirement she moved to San Antonio, Texas to reunite with his family. Sophie enjoyed bead work, gardening, cooking, and reading. She was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

Sophie is survived by nieces, Josephine (Bernard) Tourtillott of Keshena, Mary (Royer Fish) Boyd of Neopit, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lolo; brothers, John (Eileen) Boyd, Peter Boyd, and Samuel Boyd; half-brother, Joseph Boyd; sisters, Mary Boyd, Josephine Boyd, and Eliza Boyd; and half-sister, Madeline Kohl.

Memorial services for Sophie will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 2:00 pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Floresville services have been entrusted to Franklin Funeral Home, 914 3 ^rd Street, Floresville, Texas 78114.
