Obituary

SPC Naeciwat Robert Henry LaTender, age 21, Fort Bragg, NC, formerly of Neopit, passed away on December 22, 2016 in North Carolina. Naeciwat was born on November 19, 1995 in Green Bay to Lowell "Stan" LaTender and Wendy (Defferding) LaTender. He graduated from Menominee Indian High School in 2014, where he was active in golf, football and wrestling. Following high school, Naeciwat enlisted in the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, trout fishing, ice fishing and golf.

Naeciwat is survived by his mother, Wendy LaTender of Shawano; his father, Stan LaTender of Neopit; his siblings, Dorian (Robert Lyons) LaTender of Keshena, Marissa (James Swenson) Perrote of Wausau, Naneque E.J. LaTender of Shawano, Weskenohseah Francesca Ann LaTender of Shawano; grandparents, Dennis Defferding and Joette Wheeler; great-grandmother Dorothy Defferding as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Lowell Namakeesa LaTender and baby boy LaRock LaTender.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Full military honors will be conducted following the service. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center from 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 until the time of the service.
