Steven Albert Clay Schloemer, 30, returned to his Heavenly home on September 16, 2015 in the Town of Seneca, Shawano County, Wisconsin after a valiant battle against a very aggressive cancer. He was born on January 2, 1985 in El Paso, Texas to Kenneth A. and Billie R. (Cunningham) Schloemer. He graduated from Sanford High School in Sanford, Colorado in 2003 where one of his favorite accomplishments was managing the basketball team through a state championship. He had a kind heart and a quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Growing up, Steven was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. His life of service included serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Russia Novosibirsk Mission from 2004-2006. Before and after his mission he attended Brigham Young University, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in Bio-Agri Business Management with an emphasis in Agricultural Management. He was most recently employed as a safety inspector for the State of Wisconsin Department of Agriculture. His love of life and spirit of adventure also led him to work for a cruise line in Alaska and to study abroad in Jerusalem. Steven's greatest adventure began when he met his dream girl, Megan Rickert, who was also attending BYU. She became his bride and eternal companion when their marriage was solemnized in the Nauvoo Illinois Temple on December 21, 2010. It continued when they were blessed with another great joy, daughter Lucy, in 2013. In addition to his wife, Megan Schloemer, and daughter, Lucy Schloemer, Steven is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Billie Schloemer of Wheatland, Wyoming; sisters Susan (Ed) Schmailzl of Round Rock, Texas and Rebecca (Leroy) Harris Swanson of Littleton, Colorado; brothers Arnold Schloemer of Salt Lake City, Utah and Aaron (Julie) Schloemer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; parents-in-law, John and Cheryl (Jeske) Rickert of Bowler, WI; brothers-in-law, Michael (Danielle) Rickert of Murray, UT and Matthew (Paige) Rickert of American Fork, UT; sister-in-law, Melissa (Kasey) Kolpack of Bowler, WI; grandparents-in-law, Wayne and Doris (Giessel) Jeske of Tilleda, WI; and many more nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends .
