Steven C. Engel, age 62, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at his home in Shawano. He was the son of the late Charles and Jermaine (Schultz) Engel, born on January 15, 1960 in Green Bay. Steven graduated from Shawano High School and was active in baseball at all levels in his younger years. He worked construction in Florida for a few years before returning to the Shawano area where he lived most of his life. Steven worked various jobs including working for Carver/Marquis Boats in Pulaski. He loved being outdoors hunting or fishing. Steven enjoyed the time spent with friends around his picnic table. In recent years, he enjoyed and took great pride in his vegetable garden. He loved Fluffy, the neighborhood cat.

He is survived by his brother, Doug (Wendy) Engel and his sister, Bonnie (Dr. Jay) Mandelkorn; nephews, Christopher Engel and Brenton Mandelkorn; and great nieces and nephew, Sydney, Kristin and Nate.

Steven is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Linda Engel.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the Church on the Hill in Shawano with Rev. Daniel Kim officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service.

The family requests all monetary donations be made out to the American Heart Association.
