Steven Michael Monroe, age 66 of Bonduel, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. Steven was born in Shawano on February 5, 1955 to the late Vernon and Victoria (Seering) Monroe. Steve grew up in Bonduel, graduating from Bonduel High School in 1973. He lived and worked in Bonduel his entire life and loved his community. Steve also had a love for carpentry and was a talented carpenter and cabinet maker. He especially enjoyed building furniture for his daughter, Corey. Steve served on the Bonduel Fire Department for 18 years. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and golfing, as well as watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers. Steve loved his family dearly and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, never missing a game. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Corey (Dustin) Beyer of Shawano; stepdaughter, Shelli (Chad) Fehrman of New Richmond; grandchildren, Parker and Maci; brothers, Fred Monroe and Chuck Monroe; and brothers-in-law, Rick Thompson and Clem Borowski. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Dick (Marianne) Monroe; sisters, Patsy (Jim) Herb, Nancy Borowski, and Jan Thompson; and sisters-in-law, Donna Monroe and Marsha Monroe.
A funeral service for Steve will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service.
