IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Suzette
Summers
December 21, 1945 – April 12, 2023
Suzette M. "Suzi" Summers, age 77, passed away on April 12, 2023, at home surrounded by those she loved and held close to her heart. She was born Suzette Marie Pamonicutt on December 21, 1945, in Keshena to the late Martin and Yvonne (Waukau) Pamonicutt. Suzi was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit. She married Robert "Butch" Summers on November 10, 1978. Suzi lived her entire life on the Menominee Reservation growing up and starting many of her fondest memories in Neopit. She later moved to the Keshena area. Suzi loved her family and shared her qualities of being kind, giving and showing how to love and be respectful as she did her part in helping to raise her sisters and brothers, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked hard her whole life starting out at St. Anthony's Catholic School in Neopit for numerous years as a cook, making sure many of the Menominee youth ate their mashed potatoes and peas. After Suzi left St. Anthony's she started her career with Menominee Casino Resort as a change person in October of 1990. She worked her way up the corporate ladder holding many positions and supervisory roles. Suzi retired after 30 years as Slot Supervisor in September of 2021. She considered her coworkers her second family. During her years of employment, many lifelong friendships began. Suzi shared with her second family their life challenges and accomplishments. If they forgot their lunch or needed a snack, they could count on Suzi to help them out. She would even give her last dollar if needed. Suzi's hobbies were playing bingo, casino hopping, rummaging, drinking Coca-Cola, sewing, diamond art and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite times were spent on holidays with homecooked food, love and laughs.
