Obituary

Tammy Lynn Kitson (Lyons), age 48 of Keshena, Wisconsin, began her spiritual journey on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family. Tammy was born on May 15, 1973, to the late Gertrude "Mindy" Horrighs and adopted by the late Lucille Lyons (Tomow) and Henry "Hank" J. Lyons, Sr. Tammy was united in marriage to David "Scair" Kitson Sr. on September 13, 1991, in Keshena, Wisconsin. Tammy worked for the Menominee Tribal Election Commission for a number of years, as well as the Menominee Casino Resort. Tammy absolutely loved her friends and family, immediate and extended. She always made sure everyone felt welcomed. Tammy was a woman of faith who attended the Assembly of God Church in Keshena, Wisconsin. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping out at "In-Between-The-Two-Lakes", Harley rides with her brother-in-law "Wever", fishing on Sand Lake, visiting with the girls, and a good movie night with her boys. She made sure that everyone was taken care of and always helped others as much as she possibly could. Tammy will be extremely missed.

Tammy is survived by her husband of thirty years; David "Scair" Kitson Sr., her one and only son; David Kitson Jr., her son-in-law; Brandon Lee Phillips, seven sisters; Andrea (Alex) Kaquatosh, Lynell Perez, Marie (Jeff) Michel, Mary Ellen (Ron) Lipp, Trudel (Jeff) Barber, Cheryl ("Hoot") Karracker and Kathy Zernicke, three brothers, Edward "Super" Lyons Sr., Kevin (Jennifer) Horrighs, and William "Billy" Tomow, brother-in-laws; Verlin "Wever" (Deb) Kitson Jr., Steven "Moss" Kitson, and Neil (Judy) Kitson; and sister-in-law, Karen Kelley. Tammy is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tammy is preceded in death by: her parents; Gertrude "Mindy" Horrighs (Tomow), Lucille Lyons (Tomow), and Henry "Hank" Lyons Sr., brothers; Henry "Mann" Lyons Jr., James "Jimmy" Horrighs, Dale "Binky" Henderliter, Robert "Bob-be" King, Kenneth "Kenny" Tomow, and Robert Lyons, sister; Rose Weber, and special cousin; Mary C. Tomow.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Pastor Matt Golie officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at Rest Haven Cemetery located in Keshena, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at W12171 Resv Hwy 22, in Bowler, beginning 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, until the procession leaves for the funeral home on Friday.
