IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terri Ann
Olson-Buettner
January 14, 1955 – November 23, 2019
Terri A. Olson-Buettner, 64, reached the end of her strong fight with recurring cancer, most recent being Acute Myeloid Leukemia, on November 23, 2019. She passed away with family at her side in the ICU at ThedaCare Neenah.
Terri was born January 14, 1955, in Shawano, to the late LeRoy and Arbutus (Moesch) Olson. She graduated from Shawano High School with the class of 1973. She continued her education at NWTC, where she earned her certification as an EMT. Her love of cooking led to her employment at Stan & Bud's and then to Maple Lane HCF. She loved to read, People's magazine crossword puzzles, and visit her camper on the river, at Tilleda Falls. Nothing couldn't be fixed without a little country or bluegrass music: "There's flies in the kitchen and I can hear 'em buzzin. "
Her greatest joy in life was her daughter and grandsons. She is survived by her daughter Andrea (Mike) Habeck. She was Grammy to Quentin, Elliot and Sebestian. Sister to Sharrie (Phil) Schweitzer, Ronda (Joe) Jones, and brother Rodney Olson (Patti Lawrenz). Aunt to Nicki (Dan) Depies, Noah (Jackie) Schweitzer, Nate Schweitzer (Erin Zdanczewicz), Olga Kirilchuk (Stan Torry), Cassie (Dean) Cummings, Callie Galland (Dale Gierke), KatieJo and Dylan Jones, and Ashley Olson. Terri is further survived by 5 great-nephews, 5 great-nieces, many relatives and friends, as well as her loving companions SweetPea and Spitfire.
She was preceded in death by her parents LeRoy and Arbutus Olson, infant sister Shelby; Grandparents Julius and Tora Olson, Ed and Sadie Popp, Elroy and Selma Moesch; aunts, uncles, and cousins, and Kitty-cat Dharma.
A celebration of Terri's life will be Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Lois Graper officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Terri was a determined and strong woman in all that she did. We can all only be blessed to have called her family and friend.
Thank you to her physicians and caregivers at ThedaCare Shawano ER; ThedaCare Oncology; Froedtert Cancer Center; Shawano Health Services, and ThedaCare Neenah ICU.
To mumma from Annie:
I love you, I love you, I love you so well.
If I had a peanut, I'd give you the shell.
I love you, I love you with all heart and soul.
If I had a doughnut, I'd give you the hole.
