Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:45 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Pella for Terry Leigh Knitt, Sr., age 52, who passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Mr. Knitt was born in Clintonville, Wisconsin where he spent his first eight years, moved to Denver, CO and later settled in Scott, LA for twenty-five years. He attended Crossroads Church in Lafayette. He and his wife Diane, the love of his life, opened T's Kitchen at CanDee Land Sneaux Ball Stand "Dat purple house in Scott" four years ago. He spread his love of people through his good cooking. He was a heavy haul trucker for many years. Although his life was cut short, Terry lived every day to the fullest.
Survivors include his wife, the love of his life, Diane Mary Hessler Knitt; children, Alysa Knitt Middleton and her husband, Kyle, Amanda Knitt and her husband, Andy, Terry Knitt, Jr. and his wife, Meagan, and Candace Gibson Esta and her husband, Jason; his mother, Joann Enking Savoie; one uncle who he considered his father, Jim Moldenhouer; nine grandchildren, Jordan, Victoria, Nevaeh, Xavier, Alexander, Zoey, Ellie, Noah and Rhett.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Wayne Savoie.
