Obituary

Thelma Ann Neosh, age 84, of Neopit, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017. Thelma was born in Keshena on December 14, 1932, the daughter of the late John J. and Edmere (Longly) Waubanascum.  On April 7, 1956, Thelma was united in marriage to Mose Neosh in Shawano, who preceded her in death March 6, 1992.  She lived on the Menominee Reservation most of her life and worked at the Menominee Tribal Clinic, Menominee Aging and the Wolf River CBRF.  Thelma enjoyed cooking, craftwork and taking rides, but more than anything, she loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Thelma is survived by: two daughters, Stephanie (Kenny Dodge) Neosh of Keshena and Janice (Michael Fish, Sr.) Neosh of Green Bay; five grandchildren, Anthony Madosh, Jr., Noelle Madosh, Mose Neosh, Wayne Swett, Jr., and her special grandson, Drew Madosh; her great-grandchildren, Simone, Jada, Jourdan and Caleb Perez, Dandy, Myleigh, Ottis, and Janissa Fish and Drew Madosh, Jr.  She is further survived by her siblings, Edmund Waubanascum of Keshena, June Ponfil of Keshena, Michael Waubanascum of Neopit and Pete Waubanascum; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mose; her children, Kathy, Leonard, Lyle, Neil and Donna; her parents; and siblings, Dorthea Soman, Mary Miller and John Waubanascum, Jr.
A memorial service for Thelma will be held at 1:30pm on Monday, September 18, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Father Joel Jores officiating. Inurnment will be at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
