Thomas Raymond Anderson, age 76 of Shawano, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 in Appleton. Born on May 31, 1936 in Marinette, he was the son of the late William and Jeanette (Tilley) Anderson. After graduating from high school, Tom enlisted with the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. He later worked as a salesman for Coke for more than 40 years. More recently, he worked for Fox Midwest Transport as a truck driver and as a driver recruiter. On October 11, 1986 he was united in marriage to Margaret Brandt-Smith in Shawano. Tom was a member of the Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Shawano. He was also a member of the Shawano American Legion Post #117, past member of the Lion's Club, and member of the Shawano DU Chapter. In his free time, Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. Tom is survived by: his wife, Margaret; 4 children, Debra (Guy) Anderson, Cheryl Anderson and her daughter Casey, Gerilyn (Dave) Popelka and their children D.J. (Amy), Nick and Rachel, Tami Anderson and her children Mitchell and Megan; 5 great-grandchildren; and 4 step children, Terry (Craig) Adelbush and their children Rosey and Wesley, Sharon (Tom) Fischer and their son Christopher (fiancé, Jill), Dawn (Tim) Kelley and their children, Linda (Dustin), Joe and Ryan, and Jeffrey (Carol) Smith and their son, Jordan. Tom was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Bill; and a sister, Mary. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Shawano with the Rev. James Naumann officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Drive Cemetery in the Town of Wescott with Military Rites conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post #117.
