Obituary
Thomas G. Haave, age 73 of Cecil, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 27, 2017. Tom was born on March 23, 1944 to the late Rupert and Ethel (Petie Burger) of Suring. On February 6, 1970, Tom was united in marriage to his loving wife of 47 years, Patricia Arrick. Tom and his wife resided in Suring and he traveled working construction until he followed his life-long dream of becoming a glassblower, teaching his wife and starting up their own glassblowing business. Working and traveling throughout the US for the business, they came across Eureka Springs, AR in 1993, where they moved and opened their own shop, until retiring and moving back to Cecil in 2013 to be closer to their two children and three grandchildren. Tom enjoyed both hunting and fishing, tinkering with his glass and spending time with family and friends.
Tom is survived by: his loving wife, Patricia; his son, Daniel Lee (Michelle) Haave; his daughter, Rebecca Lynn (Jeff Maveal) Haave; sisters, Jeannine (James) DeLeon-Henkel, Susan (Roy) Owen; three grandsons, Zachary Thomas Haave, Nicholas Robert Haave and Caden Gregory McClure. He is further survived by many nephews, relatives, friends and their dog, Rusty.
We love you and you will be forever in our hearts.
Tom requested to have no visitation nor funeral services. He was cremated and his final resting place will be in the Town of How Cemetery.
