Tracy Reuben Schroeder, age 69 of the Town of Washington, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in Shawano. Born on March 1, 1944 in Lexington, MS, he was the son of the late Rueben H. and Edna L. (Retzlaff) Schroeder. After attending junior college, Tracy enlisted with the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. After the war ended, he continued to serve his country with the United States Navy during peacetime and later retired from both services. On November 14, 1970 he was united in marriage to Janice L. Johnson at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in rural Pulaski. The couple has made their home in the Shawano area for the past 25 years. Tracy was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church. In his free time he enjoyed photography. Tracy is survived by: his wife of 43 years, Janice; his son, Jonathan Schroeder; and a sister-in-law, Ann (Don) Schultz of Sheboygan Falls. Private family services were held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Ted Andrada officiating.
