Troy Daniel Zeeman, 50, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Shawano on May 1, 2024.

Troy was born January 3, 1974, to Leanna Zeeman and the late Daniel Behnke. He attended Shawano Schools and was employed as a pressman at The Shawano Leader and part time at Christensen Publishing and Printing.

He worked at Bumper to Bumper in Shawano for several years and was currently the manager at Bumper to Bumper in Pulaski.

Troy was a talented self- taught musician who played guitar and was the lead singer. His band Beer Goggles played at area bars and events including the Shawano County Fair. Troy also wrote many songs.

One of his greatest pleasures was fishing and kayaking on lakes and rivers where he practiced catch and release. His favorite fishing buddies were Eric Howard and Eric Unger. Troy liked to take pictures of sunsets.

He is survived by his daughter, Mya Zeeman, mother, Leanna Zeeman, sister, Shannon (Dan) Meidam, stepchildren, Raven (Riley) Tuma and Atty Wagner, aunt and uncle, Cindy and Don Wood, uncle, Randy Zeeman, aunt Carolyn Van Westenberg and close family friends, Julie and Eugene Dayton and their children, Kayla, Trevor, Dallas, and Destiny.

He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and all those friends who played music with him and those who enjoyed listening.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dan Behnke, grandparents, Carl and LaRayne Zeeman, uncle, David Zeeman aunt, Beverly Sims, and cousin, Scott Sims.

Funeral services will be held on May 10 at 4 p.m. at Swedberg Funeral Home, Shawano. Visitation will be on May 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

A memorial fund has been established.
