Posselt
January 25, 1940 – August 13, 2018
Ursula Posselt, age 78 of Shawano, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 in Shawano. Ursula was born in Nuremberg, Germany on January 25, 1940, daughter of the late Ludwig and Rosa (Nagel) Schlick. She was baptized at St. Sebald Church in Nuremberg, Germany on March 1, 1940. On June 26, 1958, Ursula was united in marriage to Dennis C. Posselt at Gustav Adolf Church in Nuremberg. She started an apprenticeship in Germany and after the completion of Dennis' deployment in May of 1959, the couple moved to the United States. She then attended the Northeast Wisconsin Technical Institute, majoring in Nursing, graduating with high honors. Ursula started her career as a nurse at Shawano Community Hospital, working there from 1965- 1972. She then went on to work at Maple Lane Health Care from 1972 until her retirement in 1992. She is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Stony Hill. Ursula lived every minute of her life to the fullest. She had a caring spirit, putting everyone else's needs before her own. She loved the Lord Jesus. She loved life, her friends and neighbors, watching the birds and the flowers grow and everything in nature. She loved spending time with her dogs, Smokey, Duke, Heidi 1 and 2, Tippy, Beaner, Rocky and Bella.
Our hearts are heavy with sadness. We have lost our angel on earth and now she has her wings in heaven, fly with the angels, fly free. We love you forever mom and will always have you close in our hearts.
