Obituary

Valerie A. D'Anna, age 69, of Suring, Menominee County, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at her home. Valerie was born in Keshena on July 10, 1947, the daughter of the late Levi and Mary (Waupoose) Warrington.  On November 11, 2000, she was united in marriage to Pasquale "Pat" D'Anna in Chicago.  Pat preceded her in death on December 16, 2011.  Valerie lived in Chicago for several years before returning to home 10 years ago.  She is a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.  Valerie was a traditional dancer and enjoyed beadwork, gardening, fishing, rug making and gathering Ginseng with her father.  More than anything, she was devoted to her family.
Valerie is survived by: her brothers, Cornelius "Neil" Warrington of Chicago and Hilary "Luke" (Annette) Warrington of Hortonville; nieces, Donna (Sailor) Kotaska, Lori Russell, and Dawn Tashio; nephew, Billy Mattern as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat; her parents; and siblings, Norman, Casimer, Carol, Donald, Jacqueline and Charlene.
A visitation will be held at the South Branch Community Center on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 12:00 noon until 10:00 pm. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 31, 2016 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Rev. Francis Zurbano officiating. Inurnment will be in the St. Joseph of the Lake Cemetery in South Branch.
