Vance S. Gruetzmacher, age 80, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024, in Shawano. He was born on December 27, 1943, to the late Fred "Fritz" and Leone (Klitz) Gruetzmacher in Shawano. Vance graduated from Shawano High School and in the fall of 1962, he enrolled in the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. After two years he transferred to the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He received his accounting and business law degrees in 1967 and 1972. He quickly was admitted in the summer of 1972 to the state bar association and was allowed to practice in federal court. Vance was united in marriage to Angelita Rosadinio on August 15, 1980, in Rino, NV. Vance later returned to the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, to work as a business professor. He loved his work in the education system and worked there for 34 years before retiring on January 4, 2004. He was proud to be a member of many associations, which included the following: the American and the Wisconsin Bar Assoc., the American and Wisconsin CPA Assoc., American Attorney CPA Assoc., American Business Law Assoc., and the University Life Insurance Assoc. When he wasn't furthering his education or teaching, he loved to read, travel, and spend time with his friends. His highest priority in life, however, was his family. His children were the center of his world, and he loved them very much.

Vance is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Angelita Gruetzmacher; his children Kes Gruetzmacher and Jenalyn Gruetzmacher; his nieces and nephews, Michelle (Dennis) Heling, Teri (Bob) Hendricks, and Mark (Kim) Gruetzmacher; his sister-in-law Patricia Gruetzmacher. He is further survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Parents Fritz and Leone and his brother Gary Gruetzmacher

A memorial service for Vance will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 11:00 am with Vicar David Kaiser officiating. Visitation will begin on Friday at 9:30 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be directed to any charity in memory of Vance.
