Vaughn R. Thunder, age 67, of Carter, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. Vaughn was born on September 15, 1952 to the late Walker, Sr. and Philomena (Sheshequon) Thunder. He worked for many years for Vyron Dixon Logging until his retirement. Vaughn enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.

Vaughn is survived by: his children, Cara Thunder of New Mexico and Vaughn Thunder, Jr. of Chicago; his step-daughter, Sherry Barnes of Neopit; and his siblings, Walker Thunder, Jr. of Carter, Gerhardt (Rogerine) Wychesit of Keshena, Warren (Sue) Thunder of Zoar, and Twila (Clayton) Neconish of Green Bay. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at the Zoar Ceremonial Building with John Teller officiating. Burial will be in the Zoar Cemetery on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Visitation after 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Zoar Ceremonial Building until the time of procession to the cemetery on Saturday.
