Vera D. Miller-Kopan, age 93 of Shawano, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014 in Shawano. She was born on October 25, 1920, in the Township of Red Springs, to the late William and Minerva (Tousey) Bogda. On December 27, 1947, she was united in marriage to Dale I. Miller. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1975. Lucky to find love again, she was united in marriage to Robert Kopan on September 14, 1997. Robert also preceded her in death on July 8, 2004. Vera was a sales clerk in the clothing industry for many years. When she was younger she enjoyed fishing. Vera loved going to the casino and playing the slots. Her biggest enjoyment was time spent with her family, especially during the holidays. Vera is survived by many nieces and nephews. Vera was preceded by her first husband, Dale; her second husband, Robert; her parents; her brothers, Melvin Bogda and Ferdinand Bogda; and one sister, Hildegard Schwartz. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Melinda Shriner officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
