Vernon John Busch, age 86, of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday May 14, 2025. Vernon was born on November 12, 1938, in Pulcifer, Wisconsin, son of the late John and Alma (Born) Busch. He graduated from Bonduel High School. On October 31, 1959, Vernon was united in marriage to Linda Courchaine at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pulcifer. Vernon worked at Seagrave in Clintonville for 37 years before retiring. He was a talented mechanic and loved working on anything with an engine. In Vernon's free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and spending time with his family. He was the best dad ever and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Vernon is survived by: his children, Peggy (Dave) Wilson, John (Tami) Busch, and Jeff (Julie) Busch; grandchildren, Nicole (Eric), Michaela, John Lee, Jeremy (Stephanie), Justin, Jordan, Jarod, Ainsley, Dalton and Melinda (Kaylyn); 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gary (Judy) Busch; his significant other, Judi Dankmeyer. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Vernon is preceded in death by his wife, Linda; siblings, Bill Busch, Bruce Busch and Yvonne Polzin; and parents, John and Alma: son-in-law Randy Pedersen

A celebration of Vernon's life will be held from 11:00am until 2:00PM at the Cecil Village Hall and Fire Department on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
