Victoria Marie Kiar, age 78 of Shawano, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 in Appleton. Born on August 29, 1935 in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Augustine (Duquain) Jacobs. Victoria was raised in the Keshena area where she attended St. Joseph Grade school. After grade school, she graduated from Haskell High School in Lawrence, KS. She later married Kenneth Kiar in Milwaukee. Victoria made her home in the Fox Cities area for many years where she worked for Miller Electric until retiring. In her free time she enjoyed playing bingo and cards as well as spending time at Bass Lake. Victoria was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena. Victoria is survived by: her 5 children, Fred (Judi) Kiar of Little Chute, Kenneth (Sue) Kiar of Oshkosh, Patricia Koch of Neenah, Kathy (Mark) Wildenberg of Kaukauna, Carol (Jeff) Clark of Neenah; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a great great-granddaughter. Victoria is further survived by: 2 sisters, Carol Newton of Shawano, Patricia Tourtillott of Keshena; 5 half-brothers and half-sisters, Joe Duquain, Gregory Jacobs, Earl Jacobs, Terry Jacobs, Alice Jacobs.; a special niece, Karen Kiar; a special nephew, Scott Kiar; and her former husband, Kenneth Kiar. Victoria was preceded in death by: a grandson, Mark Kiar; her parents; a brother, Irvin Jacobs; and a sister, Delores Jacobs. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. David McElroy O Praem officiating.
