Victoria Helene Esther Brodhagen Kohn was born October 31, 1924 in the Town of Hartland, Shawano County, Wisconsin to the late Louis and Anna (Westphal) Brodhagen. Victoria was born again in the waters of Holy Baptism at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bonduel, by Pastor W. J. Plischke on November 19, 1924. Her sponsors were William Brodhagen, Helene Westphal and Alma Dahms. She was confirmed April 10, 1938 by Rev. W. J. Plischke at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Her confirmation verse was Jeremiah 31:3, "I have loved with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn thee."
Victoria was united in marriage to Vernon Kohn on May 2, 1948 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bonduel with Pastor W. J. Plischke officiating. She was an active lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and St. Paul Ladies' Aid. She enjoyed working at the LCFS Thrift Store in Shawano, where she volunteered for many years. As a woman of strong faith, she was caring, humble, and kind, and as a mother she was a powerful example for the lives of her family.
She took a strong interest in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always showing devotion to their passions. She was an extremely dedicated mother, particularly in regards to the care of her son Ronald who required lifelong support as a result of his special needs. Victoria was an active partner in farming with her husband and family throughout her life, taking a special interest in dairy cattle and other livestock. She was actively involved with many hobbies, particularly gardening, poultry, sewing, and experiencing nature and she enjoyed being a fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Victoria is survived by her daughter Mary Kohn of Green Bay; sons Ken (Cheryl) Kohn of Cecil, Allen Kohn of Krakow, Dennis (Jan) Kohn of Gillett, Ronald Kohn at home, and Daniel (Nelly) Kohn of Battlefield, MO; her sister Ruth Kohn of Bonduel; sisters-in-law Marcella Kohn of Shawano and Helen Brodhagen of Bonduel; grandchildren Jeffery, Michelle (James) Worthington, Kevin, Keith (Stacie), Craig (Michael), Adam (Cana), Rachel (Nick), Samantha (Cody) Perlich, Josh (Abby) and Alex; great-grandchildren Kendra, Jacob, Kayla, Dominque, Audrina, Danika, Ila, Faith and Dylan and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Vernon, three daughters in infancy, daughter-in-law Patricia, brothers Norman, Martin and Walter, her sister Louise and brothers-in-law Maynard Kohn, Eugene Kohn and Willard Kohn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services on Friday.
