Viola Louise Jozwiak, age 96, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at her home.
Viola was born in the Town of Almon, Shawano County on February 12, 1920, the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Dabert) Gast.
On June 13, 1942 she was united in marriage to Edmund Jozwiak, Sr. in Kenosha.
Together, they worked at American Motors in Kenosha for 34 years.
In 1981, they retired to Shawano.
Known to many as Aunt Vi, she was a great baker and enjoyed sharing her tasty morsels with friends and family.
Viola enjoyed watching the birds that visited her yard.
She was a member of Divine Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church and was part of the Friendship Circle.
She truly enjoyed sharing her Monday's with her two special great-nieces, Juana Taff and Jill Springborn, as well as her trips made to Branson, Missouri with Juana.
Viola is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edmund "Butch" and Lenee Jozwiak, Jr. and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund on April 26, 1997; her son David; one grandson, Ryan; and two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Divine Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Paul Kuehn officiating.
Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
