Violet O. (Gueths) Kreklow, age 88 of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in Shawano. Born and baptized on July 3, 1926, she is the daughter of the late Robert and Elsie (Zimdars) Gueths. Violet was confirmed June 11, 1939 at the Stoney Hill St. Paul Lutheran church by Pastor E.H. Berfiend. On September 29, 1962 she was united in marriage to Melvin "Mike" Kreklow at Stoney Hill St. Paul Lutheran church by Pastor Clausen. Violet was employed for 49 years in retail sales. Violet is survived by: her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Linda Kreklow of Tigerton; her granddaughters, Bethany Lee and Mary Lynn Kreklow both at home; her sister, DeLila Clark of Shawano; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Judy. Violet was preceded in death by: her husband, Mike; her parents; her brother, Arnold "Arnie" Gueths; her sister, Delia in infancy. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
