Obituary

Wade A. Waukau, Sr., 51, of Keshena, passed away on Wednesday, September, 30, 2020 in Gillett, WI.  He was born on September 22, 1969 in Shawano, WI, becoming the 9th and youngest child to the late Orman "Pam" and Joan Grignon Waukau.  He was the proud father to twins Wade and Katie Waukau whose lives continue in memory of their father who loved them dearly.  Wade grew up on the Menominee Indian Reservation, starting his life in God's Country Neopit, WI and was a graduate of Menominee Indian High School. He enjoyed sports throughout his life,  and took every opportunity possible to support his children participating in baseball, basketball, football, cross country, golf, fishing and any activity that they could enjoy as a family.  He enjoyed music, a gift that was nurtured by his special Uncle Sparky "Jakey" Waukau.  Country music was his favorite, he would attend concerts and would stay current and up to date on the latest rising stars.  He loved to share his music with everyone.  He was known to step it off and jig when the music moved him, which was often.  He shared laughter, wit and humor any chance he could.  He was a caring person who showed kindness to everyone and gave a helping hand and heart to anyone who needed it.  He was handy and worked various jobs throughout his life.  He was not afraid to take on anything and would do what was called for.  He loved his dear mother Joan and lived with the same gentleness, compassion, love and dedication to family that she showed him.  With his mother's love in his heart, he shared love generously with those around him, especially his children and his nieces and nephews.  He made special memories with all his relatives, brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. It was easy for him to stay connected and show his love for his family and friends near and far.  He was loved by many and was known as Dad, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, Waders, Scunion, Naetas, Friend and more.  His loving memories remain in the hearts of everyone who knew him.  We find comfort as he believed: "The Circle Will Be Unbroken".

He will be remembered by his children, Wade Allan and Katie and their loving mother, Bridgit Martin, in De Pere, WI.  His siblings, Orman "Chief" Waukau Jr, Duane "Buckle" and Mary "Pie" Waukau, Karen Waukau, Jerry "Gatie" and Susan Waukau, Fay (Waukau) and Richard Annamitta of Keshena.  Pamela "Hootsie" (Waukau) and Pershing "Sport" Frechette of Neopit.  Wendell and Lori Waukau, and Sharon Waukau of Shawano. His mother's family:  Sharon, Mary Clare, Robert (Arlene), and Roberta Grignon.  His father's family: Mervin (Yogi) Waukau, Diana, Joanne, Yvonne, Sarah and Karen. His dear nieces and nephews, Carrie (Craig), Steve (Nanette),  Nicole ( Matt), Pamela (Stewart), and Orman, Mike, Yvonne (Brian), and Bryan (Gabby), Gary (Katie), Maniyan (Becky), and Suzi (Dillon), Jerry Lee, Alan, Kristin.  Robert (Sharlene), Shelly, Kaycee (Curtis), Dillon (Alexa), Joanie (Erica), Antonette, Wendell Jr., and  Karah.
