Wade Martin Wegner, age 20, of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2026. Wade was born on September 22, 2005, in Hartford, Wisconsin, to Jeremy Wegner and Rachel Rieck. He was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Neosho on February 18, 2006, and attended Hartford Union High School. Wade enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and hunting whenever he had the chance. He was a talented mechanic with a natural knack for being able to fix just about anything. Wade will also be remembered for lovingly harassing his sister and, as his family would say, being responsible for some of his father’s hair loss. Above all, Wade loved spending time with his family and those closest to him.

Wade is survived by his parents, Jeremy Wegner and Rachel Rieck; siblings, Olivia Wegner, Devon Rieck, Danielle Schneider, and Lauren Rieck; grandmothers, Victoria Wegner and Karen Rieck; uncle, Josh Wegner; aunt, Sarah Buechel; and his best friend and cousin, Riley Baumann. He is further survived by too many cousins, relatives, and friends to list, all of whom will miss him deeply.

Funeral Services for Wade will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027). Family will greet relatives and friends from 5:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Joshua Kesting will officiate.

Further services for Wade will be held the following day, Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Swedberg Funeral Home (518 W. 5th St., Shawano, WI 54166). Family will greet relatives and friends from 8:00 a.m. until the start of the service at 10:00 a.m. Wade will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano, Wisconsin.
