Walter Lowrie “Gator” Conkey, age 55, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Neenah. Born on September 19, 1970, in Orange County, CA, to Walter “Walt” Conkey and the late Bobbie Jo Conkey. On March 17, 2018, he began his wonderful relationship with Sarah Van Price and later married her on August 21, 2021. Wally loved everything about airplanes. He worked for many years at Gulf Stream as aircraft maintenance and even went skydiving once, which he had always wanted to do again. He was very proud to have been published in the USA Today Editorial page. In Wally’s younger years, he enjoyed playing golf. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed playing cribbage and camping. Wally was an avid Florida Gators fan and loved kicking back and watching NASCAR. He was a charismatic and loving man that was full of life. He will be deeply missed.

Wally is survived by: his wife, Sarah; his father, Walt (Becky) Conkey; his fur babies, Odie his pitbull, and his cats Earl and Jethro; and his father-in-law James Van Price.

He is preceded in death by: his mother Bobbie Jo Conkey; his sister Laura Voyles; and his mother-in-law Kathy Van Price.

A celebration of life for Wally is being planned for a later date.
