IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wayne "Red"
Manteufel
January 6, 1950 – June 8, 2025
Wayne Raymond "Red" Manteufel, age 75, passed away on Sunday June 8, 2025. He was born on January 6, 1950, to the late Raymond and Amber (Rasmussen) Manteufel in New London. After graduating from Waupaca High School, he went on to pursue a career in truck driving. He started out working at Faulks Bros. as a heavy equipment operator and worked there for over 15 years. He later transitioned to driving for Ruan until his retirement. Those who knew Red, knew he was bold and brazen man. It was easy to tell if Red liked you or didn't like you. When he wasn't working, he could always be found occupying his favorite watering hole. Even though he was a rougher individual, he did have a softer side for animals, especially his cats.
Red is survived by: his sister, Diane Ayres; his nephew and niece, Jason (Lind say) Ayres and Melissa (Scott) Miller; numerous great nieces and nephews; his lifelong friends, Jerry Babcok, Linda Kubczak and Miles Johnson. He is pr ceded in death by: his parents Raymond and Amber; his siblings Neil Manteufel and Merle Manteufel.
A Celebration of Red's life will be at Wings Inn, Ogdensburg, Saturday, June 28th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Come have a drink and snacks on Red. Please no monetary gifts, just come celebrate Red.
