Wayne was born in Keshena, Wisconsin on June 17, 1935, son of the late Hazel (Kitson) King and the late Ben Pecore. Bunker was raised by his mom and the Kitson family. On May 7, 1955, Bunker was united in marriage to his first love and the love of his life, Glenda Corn, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Keshena. Glenda preceded him in death in 1995. He was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Bunker was a hard worker and a great provider for his family. He seemed to never sit still and spent many hours tinkering at his workbench and in his yard when he wasn't at work. His home was a gathering spot for family and friends where you would always feel welcomed and were usually fed. Bunker will always be remembered as a fair, humble, and generous man who was always happy, he was a positive and supportive person to everyone around him. He loved animals and even the neighborhood cat, Timmy, was drawn to him. Bunker was a great father, grandfather, brother, friend, and man, and his singing and whistling will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bunker is survived by: children, Cheryl "Ursla" (Chris) Fish, Todd (Twila) Pecore, Brett Pecore, Mary Beth "Muck" Pecore, Jay "Buckin" (Tamami) Pecore, and Tina (Bill) Larsen, Brother-in-law Loren Small; daughter in-law, Mary Beth Pecore; 101 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren combined with more on the way; a sister, Pam Grignon; and sisters-in-law, Ann King and Barb King.
