Wayne Sparks, age 55, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 in Green Bay. He was born on August 29, 1966, to the late Leslie and Marcelene (Miller) Sparks in Shawano. He was an avid Packer fan and loved his rock and roll. Wayne enjoyed motorcycles and bicycles and was always wearing his leather jacket. He enjoyed beading and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was always giving them candy and gum. Wayne was well known for his corny "uncle" jokes and for being a bit reckless. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Kimberly Pennewell, Richard (Sue Riesterer) Pecore, Cindy (Tony) Jungenberg, Steven "Bubba" (Gerri) Sparks, Sr., and Tony (Patty) Sparks. Wayne is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; his nephew, Steven Sparks, Jr.; aunt and uncles, Margo and Don Nelis, and Roger Miller; and cousins, Lee Waubanascum, Michael Waubanascum, and Willie Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with Pastor Ralph Beversdorf officiating. Burial will be in Red Springs Cemetery next to his mother, Marcelene. Visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home until the time of service.
