Wilfred John Tomaw, age 72, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. John was born on June 19, 1948 in Keshena to the late Frank Benard and Mary Ann (Caldwell) Tomow. On March 24, 2000, John was united in marriage to Diane Lynn Brandos in Keshena. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, fishing and hunting. John was a loving husband and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Diane; son, Randy Tomow; stepchildren, David, Tony, Nicole, Tommy Tomow and Dale Brandos; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandson; his loving dog, Bear; and sister, Mary Shepard Tomow; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held for John at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. Nonito Barra officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Due to limited occupancy at church family and friends are encouraged to attend visitation on Wednesday at the funeral home. Masks are requested to be worn for visitation.
