"Bill" Wilson, Jr.
August 15, 1957 – October 6, 2024
William "Bill" Eugene Wilson, Jr, age 67, of Shawano passed away on Sunday October 6, 2024, in Shawano. Born on August 15, 1957, in Hastings, Nebraska to the late William E. Sr., and Romilda A. (Waupoose) Wilson. He proudly served in the United States Airforce. William worked as a lineman for the radio and telephone communications while in the Airforce. He belonged to the Shawano R.C. Flying Club and was a lifetime member of The American Modelers Association. In his free time, he enjoyed flying remote control airplanes, watching old and sci-fi movies, drawing, and listening to music. Bill was always meticulous about the presentation of his yard and making sure his home looked nice. Bill especially loved driving around the Upper Peninsula sightseeing and driving his corvette.
Kevin and Beth Adams would always stop to say hello and chat with Bill. In his last few months, Beth was very kind to him and would always make sure to bring his hot fudge sundaes. The family would like to express our deepest appreciation for the kindness they showed him. Bob May and Steven Dobeck were also good friends of Bill and always kept him in their hearts.
William is survived by: his sister, Marie Wilson, and her children, Manih, Macanmeta, So-Sah, Kawt-nih (Genaro) Munoz, Pita, Romilda (Anthony) Skye; his sister Karen Wilson; his sister, Sheryle (Ronald) Kurdas, and her children, Stephan (Jessica), and Meghan Kurdas; 16 great nieces and nephews; his god mother Rosemary Genglar. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents William Sr. and Romilda; his brother Richard A. Wilson; his maternal grandparents Alexander Waupoose and Sarah Josephine Warrington-Waupoose; his paternal grandparents Opal (Ralph) Thompson and Walter Wilson; his god father Everett "Butch" Waupoose
The immediate family held private services.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses of Theda Care Hospice and the staff of Shawano Health Services.
