William Louis "Bill" Gresen, age 65, of Rhinelander passed away on Tuesday June 27, 2023, in Woodruff, Wisconsin. Bill was born on April 5, 1958, in Green Bay to the late Wallace and Marie (Gentz) Gresen. He enrolled in Waukesha technical college and studied auto body. Bill then worked at Northern Rail Car in Oak Creek for six years then moved on to work at Wisconsin Central Railroad for twelve years, then worked at Richfield Trailer for a short time, and worked part time at Walgreens in Rhinelander. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and buying old cars to restore them in his free time.

Bill is survived by his siblings, Philip Gresen of Rhinelander, David (Kathryn) Gresen of Crivitz, Lori (David) Hilgen of Hartford, nephew, Daniel Gresen of West Bend and niece, Angela (Mike) Leidel of Hartford great-nieces, Madelyn and Maggie and great-nephew, Mark.

A memorial mass for Bill will be held at 11:00 am on Friday July 7, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Fr. Edward Looney and Deacon James Lonick officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 until the time of mass on Friday.
