William F. Popp, age 81 of Shawano, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018. Bill was the son of the late Frank and Agnes Popp.  On June 5, 1965, William was united in marriage to Sharon Foesch in Shawano.  In his younger years, William worked at Gottchalk Cleaners.  He owned and operated Pleasant View Resort, sold insurance and worked as a janitor at the Shawano High School before joining the Shawano County City Library, where he worked until he retired.  Bill joined the Masonic Lodge and served as Master of the Lodge for two years in row.  He was also a Shriner, serving as President for one year.  Bill had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people happy.  He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano.

William is survived by: his wife, Sharon Popp of Shawano.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

A Masonic funeral will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until the time of the service.
