Willis M. Habeck, age 94 of the Town of Wescott, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020. Willis was born on March 7, 1926 to the late Willie and Esther (Greub) Habeck in Bonduel. Willis graduated from Bowler High School. On October 6, 1956 Willis was united in marriage to Donna J. Heling. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Red River. Willis and his wife Donna owned and operated the Black Diamond Bar and Restaurant in the Town of Wescott for over 20 years. He also worked for Schneider Monument Company and was the Fire Chief in the Town of Wescott. Willis was a charter member of the Shawano Lake Lions Club. He enjoyed feeding the birds, woodworking and playing sheepshead.

Willis is survived by his wife of 64 years, Donna, and his children, Randy (Mary) Bluemke-Habeck and Brenda Habeck.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Violet Ott, Alice Maves, Fern Bernhardt, Dale Habeck, and Reuben Habeck.

A memorial service for Willis will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Loretta Waegli officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until time of services. A memorial fund has been established with the Shawano County Humane Society.
