Willis Floyd "Huntz" Weisnicht, age 84 of Shawano, passed away at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Willis was born on October 22, 1936, in Shawano, to the late Benjamin and Margaret (Drier) Weisnicht. Willis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sargent. On October 28, 1957, Willis was united in marriage to Donna J. Krause. He owned and operated the Phillips 66 gas station in Shawano for several years. Willis then went to work for Reinhardt Foods in Shawano until his retirement. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Willis enjoyed gardening, walking in the outdoors, fixing things and telling a good joke. He enjoyed the Christmas holiday season. Above all he loved his family dearly and cherished his time with them. Willis will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Willis is survived by his wife of 63 years, Donna; his children, Terri (Jay) Rankin and their children, Tyler, Jarrod, Kailee and Bryant, Randall (Kim) Weisnicht and their children, Natasha, Austin, and Cody, Brenda (Donny) Anker and their children, Clinton, Aaron, and Dane, Brad (Sandy) Weisnicht and their children, Ryan and Allison, and Laurie (John) Maule and their children, Morgan and Bryce; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Verna Weisnicht, Shirley Sorenson, MaryAnn (Keith) Moesch, Sharon (Mike) Passon, and Vicki (Dave) Felkowski; and brother-in-law, Robert (Jean) Krause. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Melvin "Shorty", James, and Vernon; and a brother-in-law, Clifford Krause.
Private family services were held at Swedberg Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Drengler officiating. Military honors were conducted by the Shawano American Legion.
