Willis B. Lamberies Willis B. Lamberies, age 82 of Gresham, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on August 2, 1929 in the Town of Richmond, he was the son of the late Edward and Erna (Buettner) Lamberies. Willis was united in marriage to Bernice Opperman on February 11, 1948 in Dubuque, IA. Together the couple raised their family and farmed in the Town of Richmond. Willis also worked for the Shawano County Park Association where he cut weeds on Shawano Lake and also worked several different constructions jobs until retiring in 1994. He was very active belonging to the Tilleda Snow Riders and the Thornton Trail Riders. Willis enjoyed snowmobiling and belonged to several Snowmobile Clubs where he helped groom the trails. His biggest joy in life was time spent with friends and his beloved family. Willis was extremely proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Willis is survived by: his wife of nearly 63 years; 4 children, Cheryl (Joe) Duquain of GA, Connie (Mike) McConnell of ND, Kim (Judy) Lamberies of Gresham, Bobbi (Eddie) Gibbs of Gresham; 8 grandchildren, Scott, Jason, Holly, Carrie, Amanda, Melissa, Nicole, Bridget; and 14 great-grandchildren. Willis was preceded in death by: a granddaughter, Kayla; his parents; a brother, Lawrence; and a sister, Lucille. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with the Rev. David Barrett officiating.
