October 7, 1952 – March 12, 2020
Zillah Mae Tepiew, age 67, of Keshena, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Shawano and was a tissue donor. Zillah was born on October 7, 1952, in Keshena, to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Davis) Wayka. On October 13, 1979 she was united in marriage to Arnold Tepiew, Sr. in Shawano. Arnold preceded her in death on April 26, 2000. She lived in Keshena most of her life working at the Menominee Casino until her retirement. Zillah enjoyed reading, going to the casino, and playing cards. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. She loved her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Zillah is survived by: her children, Patrick (Emily) Wayka of Green Bay, Ryan Wayka of Green Bay, Arnold Tepiew, Jr. of Neopit, Jeremy Tepiew of Keshena, Kari (Cheyenne) Tepiew of Green Bay, Loni Tepiew of Keshena, Joel Kinney, Sr. of Neopit, and Timothy Kinney of Green Bay; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her brothers-in-law, Brian (Barb) Tepiew of Keshena, John Tepiew of Keshena, and Eugene Tepiew of Manitowoc; her sister-in-law, Karen Webster of Neopit. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband of 20 years, Arnold Tepiew, Sr.; her parents, Frank and Elizabeth (Davis) Wayka; her daughter, Arnelle Tepiew; her 4 brothers, Earl Wayka, Anthony Wayka, James (Mary) Wayka, and Francis Wayka; and her seven sisters, Colleen Bailey, Joyce Askenette, Marlene Stephanus, Maureen "Betty" Wesho, Carla Johnston, Josephine Wayka, and Darlene Ponfil.
A funeral service for Zillah will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, March 16, 2020, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. Joel Jores officiating. Visitation will be held at the Jeremy Tepiew Residence, N602 Chief Shunien Road, Schoolview beginning on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 3:00 pm until the time of procession to the church on Monday. There will be a drumming service held on Saturday night at Jeremy's home.
